Attorney Kellye Hughes has devoted her career to adoption law. She is a three-time adoptive mom. She has handled more than 600 adoptions. Hughes Law Center focuses on working with families and children in foster care as well as families wanting to do a stepparent adoption and with families desiring to do a private adoption. Kellye is professionally involved in mentoring and seminar lecturing. She has mentored and supervised young attorneys engaged in adoption. Kellye frequently educates other attorneys and judges in the area of adoption. She was honored by the State Bar of Texas who appointed Kellye to the State Bar Child Abuse and Neglect Committee. Kellye was named Alumni of the Year when she was honored by Texas Wesleyan University School of Law.
Kellye is a former Tarrant County Assistant District Attorney and has been in private practice for 25 years handling adoptions, foster parent representation and CPS defense.
